The Moxy Hotel

The project comprises of 308 bed hotel room, within 619m2 of luxury facilities featuring a gymnasium, Retail spaces, sports bar, restaurant, and outdoor areas.

The project is being delivered under a Design & Construct contract. The delivery is broken up into 3 stages being ECI, enabling works and construction ensuring that design risk and costs are managed at each stage to achieve the client’s development goals.

Due to its central location in the CBD, the project team faced several challenges including subcontractor procurement, supply planning, and site setup. The project brings on multiple logistical challenges in supporting the adjacent and rear buildings whilst they are occupied, whilst tackling the challenges of building against a live footpath. Thorough planning is being implemented into the methodology to ensure programme remained uninfluenced.
